Caitlin joined the Emma Turnbull Lawyers team as a Criminal Defence Lawyer in 2024. With over eight years of experience in criminal law, she has previously worked for the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria and the Office of Public Prosecutions prior to her admission to practise.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Victoria University and was admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2022. Initially transitioning into Commercial Litigation, she soon discovered her true passion for criminal law. As a dedicated advocate, Caitlin brings extensive experience from both regional and metropolitan settings, enabling her to work effectively with a diverse clientele. She prioritises understanding each client’s unique circumstances, ensuring she can advocate for them in a compassionate and direct manner.
Caitlin represents her clients daily in the Magistrates’ Court on various criminal matters, including bail applications, plea hearings, mentions, and contest mentions. Additionally, she appears in civil jurisdiction cases involving Family Violence and Personal Safety Intervention Orders, and she instructs in complex County Court and Supreme Court jury trials.
