Jessica Welsh

Jessica is the Practice Coordinator at Emma Turnbull Lawyers, playing an integral role in the firm’s daily operations, client engagement and practice development.

Having commenced her career with the firm as a Legal Assistant in 2024, Jessica has progressed into her current role, developing a strong understanding of criminal defence practice and the importance of providing professional, compassionate and efficient support to clients.

In her role as Practice Coordinator, Jessica works closely with the firm’s directors and legal team, overseeing practice operations, marketing, client relations and internal processes. She is also actively involved in coordinating the firm’s professional development initiatives, including the Criminal Law Internship Program (CLIP), which provides aspiring legal professionals with practical insight into criminal defence.

Alongside her professional experience, Jessica has recently completed the academic requirements of her Bachelor of Laws (Honours), balancing the demands of university with her growing responsibilities at the firm. She is set to commence her Practical Legal Training (PLT) in January 2027, marking the next step towards admission to legal practice. Her dedication to both her academic and professional development has also seen her recognised nationally as a finalist in the Women in Law Awards 2026 in the category Support Professional of the Year, reflecting her commitment to building a career within the legal profession.
